1. Adhesive ("Peel and Stick") Mounts

Good for: very light, small fixtures on smooth, painted drywall — and for anyone who wants the absolute minimum of effort.

Where it fails: texture and time. Adhesive pads need a flat, sealed, dust-free surface to hold. On orange-peel or skip-trowel walls, brick, wallpaper, or freshly painted surfaces (paint keeps curing for weeks), the bond is unreliable — and the heavier the fixture, the faster it lets go.
